Born in 1917 and having served in World War II as a Seabee, Hugh Codding’s legacy is a larger-than-life character whose postwar developments transformed Santa Rosa. He has founded savings and loans, banks, a newspaper business, served on the Santa Rosa City Council and was Mayor of Santa Rosa in 1967. Today, Hugh continues to be in the office daily and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family.
